City Hydroponics started in 2014 when I decided I wanted to grow vegetables on his own roof top. For lack of any suitable installations in the market, I started to build my own. Growing on my rooftop did not always go as planned, but failure is when the greatest learning takes place and soon enough it was working like a charm.

From there I moved on to the balcony. Knowing there are lots of people in Hong that would love to grow at least some of their own food, I started to work on a design that is compact enough to fit on a balcony, yet uses every bit of available space for growing. This was quite a challenge, but the result is there, and I'm quite proud of it.

Now the company continues to grow and expand its line of products offered, without losing focus of its core: bringing farming to the city, one home at a time. All products offered here are either growing installations that can make use of all nooks and crannies of a typical tiny Hong Kong home, and anything you could possible need for growing - from fertiliser to starter plugs and water testing probes.
